Special Containment Procedures: SCP–2835 is to be kept in a soundproof warehouse at Site 22 at all times. The warehouse must have a minimum of 10,000 square metres of floor space and a minimum of 30 metres in height. SCP–2835 must wear an oral harness at all times which has been augmented with breathing and feeding apparatus. SCP–2835 should be fed one gallon of high calorie pulp every five (5) minute interval.

All personnel working in the vicinity of SCP–2835 should be equipped with noise cancelling ear defenders. Only medical technicians are permitted to interact with the subject. Personnel who are exposed to the effects of SCP–2835 are to undergo immediate physical examination.

Description: SCP–2835 is a male, anthropomorphic rabbit with brown fur and yellow star patterns on the hips and face. The subject is heavily overweight and has difficulty moving; as of ██/██/20██ SCP–2835 is estimated to weigh 14 tonnes and has a minimum body fat percentage of 96 percent. Attempts to reduce the subject’s weight have been met with uncooperative behaviour.

SCP–2835 has the ability to increase fatty tissue through song. This ability appears to be limited to living biological beings and SCP–2835 itself (see EXPERIMENT LOG 2835–1). No evidence exists to suggest SCP–2835 can decrease fat content, only increase it. The effects are not permanent.

SCP–2835 was captured by the Foundation on ██/██/20██ in ███ █████, ████████, Florida. SCP–2835 sung the “The Star-Spangled Banner” as part of the opening of the [DATA EXPUNGED], resulting in 66,300 recorded incidents of bystanders growing to over 1,000 kilograms in weight and causing significant damage to the stadium and surrounding area. How SCP–2835 was selected for the performance is unknown.

Experiment Log 2835–1:

Only D-class personnel are approved for testing with SCP–2835. All other personnel are required to maintain ear protection at all times.

Testing on SCP–2835 was approved on ██/██/20██ by Dr. ████.

Procedure: D-class personnel entered containment without ear protection. SCP–2835 was instructed to sing for 10 seconds.
Results: Subject observed weight increase of 84 kilograms. Subject appeared enraptured with SCP–2835’s singing and remained unaware of weight gain until SCP–2835 ceased.
Notes: SCP–2835’s singing appears to have a numbing effect on the subject, causing a lack of awareness and a “pleasant, euphoric” sensation. When asked what genre of music the song was, subject responded with “bouncy”. —Dr. ████

Date: 18/██/20██
Procedure: D–2209 and D–4042 entered containment. D–4042 was specifically selected for being deaf. SCP–2835 was instructed to sing for 10 seconds.
Results: D–2209 experienced weight gain of 142 kilograms, once again demonstrating a lack of awareness of the surroundings. D–4042 remained unaffected.
Notes: It appears SCP–2835’s powers are entirely auditory and are not caused by resonant vibrations as Dr. ███████ hypothesised. —Dr. ████

Procedure: The deceased remains of D–837 were placed in containment. SCP–2835 was instructed to sing.
Results: SCP–2835 demonstrated disgust at the presence of the body but eventually complied. D–837 remained unaffected.
Notes: Living things only. It appears the presence of working ears is a prerequisite. —Dr. ████

Procedure: SCP–2835 was instructed to sing to itself.
Results: SCP–2835 refused to cease singing when instructed, performing for a total of 4 minutes, 33 seconds before personnel could intervene. Subject stated they were aware of their gain, but was not compelled to stop. Subject found to have gained 4,834 kilograms in this time.
Notes: Interesting. SCP–2835’s ability doesn’t appear to affect itself in the same way. Subject seems aware of their actions and growth, however retains the same “euphoric” sensations as other subjects. This could explain SCP–2835’s aversion to weight reduction procedures. —Dr. ████
